The Surrey Down Company, founded in 1988, is only too aware of the difference and so has created ranges of luxurious duvets and pillows using the best fillings that they could find in the world, manufacturing exceptionally high-quality products with their main production factory located just outside Hamburg, Germany.

Down and feather are amazing in their very essence, having many natural qualities and features whilst being purely organic. They have been used within the home for thousands of years, their main use being that of keeping us warm and comfortable in bed.

Down is like a fluffy snowflake, and has no quill as a feather does; this makes the down extremely comfortable. Only the highest quality down clusters are collected for these products, ensuring a luxurious night’s sleep under a wonderfully constructed duvet.

All of the products produced are tested to the 'Oeko-Tex 100' Class 1 standard to give assurance that no harmful chemicals or substances are in their duvets and pillows. Class 1 certification also means that they are suitable for babies and children.

Nomite
All of Surrey Down's natural products are NOMITE certified - issued by the 'European Down and Feather Association'. This means that the fabric is so tightly woven that house dust mites cannot penetrate the fabric, making them suitable for sufferers of house dust mite allergies.
